Bonding sessions between infant and their caregiver/parent involving loving touch and mindful movement as well as parent relaxation. These sessions can help parents to attune to their infant, by developing skills to become mindful and observant as a parent. These session can also aid an infants development and meeting milestones.

Private 1-2-1 Yoga Therapy Sessions

Trauma sensitive yoga therapy as advertised on Psychology Today Yogi Buddies offer private yoga therapy sessions accredited by British Psychology Society for individual children; both virtually and in person. These session can be tailored to the child to meet their specific needs; this can also include parents being involved in sessions or be consulted with afterwards. Yoga therapy sessions include breath-work, movement, sensory input, relaxation and informed by traditional psychological theories and methods.

Community Wellbeing Yoga Sessions

Yogi Buddies are always looking to develop community projects to bring small yoga therapy groups or larger scale wellbeing yoga sessions to all children, with is linked with the aim of making therapy accessible for all and any children. Yogi Buddies are always keen to work with local charities to partner with to develop projects together, tailored to the charities aims.

Yogi Buddies offer services to local schools including EBD and SEN provisions to work with children who are in need of therapeutic support either one 1-2-1 or small group basis; this may be supported via EHCP or pupil premium.

School wellbeing and pastoral sessions 
Session can be offered as extracurricular and/or enrichment days. Research suggests that yoga sessions can improve academic ability by aiding concentration, attention and memory. As well as improve classroom behaviour and promote pastoral care. Studies have evidence the benefits of implementing yoga and wellbeing sessions as part of the school curriculum. An example of which is Butzer, Bury, Tellas & Khalsa (2016) study evidence improvements in social-emotional learning and positive student outcomes.

Nursery Developmental Yoga Based Sessions

Yoga and mindfulness sessions as part of the nursery schedule, tailored for younger children our nursery classes, sessions are stimulating play based and flexible to meet all children’s abilities. Our nursery sessions aim to aid development of motor skills and social communication, key for nursery aged children.
